General information only
The guides, articles and answers on this Site are general information for homeowners and businesses in Erie County. They are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a qualified technician.
The company that performs the restoration work
Buffalo Water Damage Restoration operates a call line. The restoration work at any property is performed by an independent local company dispatched through that line, which is the party responsible for the work it carries out, for the licences, permits and registrations the work requires, and for its own insurance. The company is answerable to the offices that issue those licences and permits.
Nothing on this site states that the line itself holds a licence to perform restoration work. Any mold assessment or removal must be carried out by a person holding the state licence required by New York Labor Law Article 32, and the licence can be checked with the New York State Department of Labor. Permit requirements are set by the local office covering the property.
The line answers calls around the clock. Any licence details for the company on site can be requested by telephone, and the company provides them when it contacts the caller. Those details are not published on this website for the privacy of the company's staff.

Prices are estimates
Price ranges are typical estimates for our service area in 2026. They are not quotes or offers. Your price is confirmed in person before any work starts.
Safety around water damage
Standing water can hide live electrical circuits: do not walk into a flooded room until power to that area is off. Sewage and floodwater (IICRC Category 3) can carry bacteria and viruses; keep children, pets and anyone with a weak immune system away, and do not handle contaminated materials without protection. Visible mold larger than a small patch should be assessed before anyone disturbs it. When in doubt, leave the area and call a professional.
Licensing, standards and insurance
Repair and reconstruction work in New York is regulated by that state's contractor licensing board. The IICRC S500 (water damage) and S520 (mold remediation) standards are industry guidance, not government licenses. Insurance coverage is decided by your insurer under your policy; nothing on this Site is a promise of coverage or of a claim outcome, and information here is a summary, not legal or insurance advice.
